Advanced Training
 The Pi Squared Level
 (Graduate School)

     You may be amused by the name we have given to the 5th level of training.

     The fifth level has evolved into a continuing education course for many students who simply can't get enough dog training. In other words, you can continue training with the same group of people for as long you desire.

      There are always new things to learn and there is always room for improvement on the things already learned. Pi Squared Level members celebrate the Christmas season with an annual party (all Pi2 dogs are invited).  They also participate in parades and exhibitions for schools and community associations to demonstrate their skills and show others the advantages and joys of sharing their lives with a "Canine Good Citizen".

 
    The Pi Squared Level Orientation has now become known as the PIZZA "PI" SQUARED ORIENTATION because the group has decided that they want to meet at a local pizza parlor for the orientation class where everyone has a great time.

     At the end of the training year (May) all of the Pi2 classes compete in the Annual Pi2 Olympics.  The Pi classes compete in various Obedience and Agility competitions while enjoying an outdoor BBQ.  Prizes are awarded for the top scores in each category.  The dog with the best overall scores is awarded the "TOP DOG" of the the year trophy.

     The Pi Squared Level has grown into a group of people who consider themselves friends and are always happy to accept new friends into "the club".

           PI Squared is a continuing course. Handlers can continue training for as long as they wish in increasingly challenging 8-week sessions.

  • New tricks: Put Away Toys, Ring the Doorbell, Close/Open the Door, Roll over, Say Your Prayers, Get the Newspaper or Mail
  • New obstacles: Including the See-Saw, Dog Walk, Weave Pole Recall, Scent Hurdles and Flyball.
  • Challenging New Skills: Including Scent Discrimination, Directed Jumping, Directed Retrieving, Seek Back, Team and Brace exercises.
  • Exhibition Work: Perform in parades and school/community events.
  • Pizza Orientations!!!
